South Australia has released a new site contamination and development approvals process. Practice Direction 14 is triggered by a change to a more sensitive land use and supports the appropriate assessment and remediation of land, including a process for referral to EPA, which determines (based on risk) whether a consultant or auditor is able to make a statement on site suitability.
