Hydrogeology is an interdisciplinary field, covering a wide range of physical, chemical and biological processes.

Hydrogeology is important in the areas of water supply, contaminant fate and transport, waste management, risk assessment and remediation.

Senversa’s hydrogeologists have project managed, advised and technically directed a wide range of groundwater related projects, for a diverse range of government, manufacturing, petroleum and mining/smelting clients. Our experience covers small to large scale sites, simple to complex hydrogeological environments, and various contaminant types, including PFAS, heavy metals, petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, wastewater treatment plants and landfills. Our skill set includes hydrogeological assessments, aquifer testing and analysis, conceptual hydrogeological models, flow and transport modelling, ex and in situ groundwater remediation (including horizontal remediation wells), groundwater resource assessment and licensing, and isotopic, dating and tracer hydrogeology. We also provide high level review of contaminant hydrogeology related issues for Senversa’s Contaminated Land Auditors.

Environmental Services

Since its inception in 2009, Senversa has provided land and groundwater due diligence assessments for the Port of Melbourne including targeted and precinct-wide regional groundwater monitoring programs to ensure that port land is suitable for ongoing use. Works have required access into maritime security controlled areas, leased properties and common...
