Senversa was initially engaged to complete a Due Diligence for a site to be developed into a high rise student accommodation. The investigation identified an underground storage tank containing chlorinated solvents associated with a former dry cleaner that had once operated on the site. Senversa provided ongoing contamination management advice, including soil remediation during construction, mitigation of vapour intrusion risk through completion of a risk assessment supporting the responsive design / installation of a vapour barrier and assessment / management of on and off-site groundwater impacts during construction. The assessments undertaken allowed the attainment of a Clean Up to the Extent Practicable (CUTEP) determination and completion of the Statement of Environmental Audit in under 18 months to allow facility to open on time for start of the 2019 academic year.
