The Cranbourne Line Upgrade (CLU) comprises rail infrastructure works along 5.5 km of the Cranbourne Line rail corridor, including duplication of tracks, new rail bridges and sidings, and three new grade separations. As part of these works, Senversa completed detailed in-situ categorisation of the soils and assisted the Western Program Alliance (WPA) with obtaining EPA Classification approvals for the temporary stockpiling, management and reuse of soil excavated materials within the defined project area. These works allowed WPA to sustainably retain and reuse soils in a controlled manner, mitigating unnecessary and costly disposal of soils to landfill.
