Juan is a Principal Chartered Civil and Environmental Engineer (MIEAust CPEng) with consulting experience in Australia, Asia and South America. Juan has a Masters of Engineering Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Melbourne. He is a registered Civil Engineer in both the Victorian Business Licensing Authority register and the Engineers Australia National Engineering Register.

 

His experience covers landfill sites, contaminated material on-site repositories, mine/processing tailings sites, environmental site remediation and risk assessment projects. During his career, Juan has directed and being the technical lead in a number of design and construction auditing projects, including high profile projects related to emerging contaminants such as Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS).

 

Juan is a GRI Certified CQA Geosynthetic and Compacted Clay Liner Inspector (GCI-ICP Certified Inspector).

 

He is a retired amateur soccer player that enjoys traveling, the outdoors, movies and sports. After a gentle nudge from home management, he also found a “hidden love” for cooking and can now prepare decent dishes from at least 5 different cuisines.
